| Translation and Interpretation Services |
|
DLS offers translation and simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services in over 85 languages. All translators and interpreters are professional, native-speaking linguists who have extensive experience with transcription, videotape voice-overs, title III monitoring, and desktop publishing in over 60 languages.
Linguists are experienced in personal, business, and legal settings, as well as small and large conferences for government and private clients. DLS can provide service for any technical or non-technical purpose and maintains a quick turn around time. Recent projects include work with the EPA, US Department of Commerce, and US Census Bureau. |

| Translation and Interpretation Training |
In addition to foreign language training, DLS also offers translation and consecutive and simultaneous interpretation (T&I) training.. These courses are taught by professional translators and interpreters with years of translation and/or interpretation and training experience. Many of these professionals are certified by the American Translation Association (ATA). Translator and interpreter classes are tailored to the requirements, schedule and goals of the client
Translation is an acquired skill. Knowing a language, even knowing it fluently, does not automatically lead to the ability to translate. DLS understands that translators must not only understand the subject matter in order to accurately relay concepts and ideas between the two languages, they must also be sensitive to the cultures associated with these languages.
